Workflow
Workflow is great for teams that want to manage publishing or approval processes within the CMS.
A publishing process built right into the CMS
You don’t need to use third-party tools to collaborate on content. When installed, the Workflow module lets you set the steps or people that a content item needs to go through before it’s published. Set content actions, such as publish or reject, and transitions, such as revert to draft.
If you have different needs for different content types, your site admin can set up workflows for particular content types or items.
Roles and permissions
Set up your workflow in Silverstripe CMS, so that different users have different roles, like authoring or publishing. You can do this using user groups, or for specific users.
Notifications
Working with people who don’t frequently use the CMS? Set the workflow to send an email to users when content reaches their stage of the workflow. You can also set automatic reminders after a specified number of days, and set an email to send when a content item is published.
